Lion Boy by Zizou Corder

The only bad thing about this audiobook is that I don’t yet have the capabilities of getting my hands on its (audiobook) sequel! The narrator has an amazing voice — especially when he speaks for the lions. The plot is full of crazy twists and turns, yet it is not so crazy that it ever becomes hard to follow. I don’t want to give too much away, so let me just give a quick glimpse into Charlie’s world. His mom is white, his dad is black, so he’s a little bit of both. His mom and dad are both scientists, and they do lots of top-secret research. Charlie is also capable of speaking with cats, though he doesn’t really know why. When Charlie’s parents disappear, he hitches a ride with a floating circus to try and find his parents. With only cats to guide him, will he ever find his mom and dad? Will he even uncover the truth about why they disappeared? Read (or listen to!) this incredible book to find out for yourself!

Happy Reading!
