The Dangerous Days of Daniel X by James Patterson

Daniel’s parents were murdered when he was only a toddler.  Luckily, for him, he was a rather extraordinary toddler and was able to take care of himself afterward.  You see, Daniel is actually an alien whose family was sent to Earth to protect it from other [evil] aliens.  Life as an alien hunter can be pretty interesting in and of itself, but Daniel also has to worry about keeping up appearances in front of the humans who live around him — since people tend to expect kids to have parents and attend school and such.  Daniel has super strength and speed, is able to drastically change his body [I’m talking, turning into a tick!], and can even generate friends and family members to help him out of some sticky situations.  This book reminded me A LOT of Men in Black, since it involved a lot of goofy humor and clichés.  Definitely a funny read!

Happy Reading!
