OK… So, I was pretty excited about the Hardy Boys graphic novels, but I am REALLY excited about the Babymouse series by Jennifer & Matthew Holm. Comic books and graphic novels have largely been a “boy thing,” but Babymouse is your typical Tween GIRL — except, of course, for the fact that she is a mouse! She dreams of being popular (“Queen of the World,” technically), she tries hard to make her hair (whiskers) look cool, she struggles to get to class on time… You know the deal. Well, when one of the popular girls has a sleepover, Babymouse decides that she needs to get an invitation any way she can. Will she be invited? Will she even like it if she can go?
